Hi I'm David, and welcome to my website.
Firstly a little bit of background about me, I am a British-Hungarian dual citizen and I am licensed by the DVSA to give driving instruction. I hold a full UK driving licence in category A, B, BE, C, CE, D, DE and I have been "on the road" for over 20 years and as a professional driver since 2013. I started my career in Hungary in 2008 when I gained a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Investigation. One of my main responsibilities as a criminal investigator was to work with "driving under the influence" cases, because of this I take road safety very seriously. After serving 5 years at the Police I joined the National Ambulance Service as an emergency ambulance driver, where I received medical training about first aid, CPR and other medical procedures. In Hungary I gained a Police Vehicle Aptitude Certificate, a Highest Aptitude Certificate for Emergency Vehicles, an Ambulance Driver Certificate and I hold a Hungarian and also a British Driver Certificate of Professional Competence.
I moved to the UK in 2014 and I started to work as a PCV (bus) Driver in Newark at Travel Wright Ltd. After moving to Nottingham in 2018 I worked for Gedling Borough Council as a refuse lorry driver. During these years I gained a broad knowledge of Nottinghamshire, especially the Borough and the surrounding areas, which helps me to prepare my students for their tests in the most appropriate places. Because of the nature of my previous jobs I received numerous clean Enhanced DBS Check Certificates form the British and the Hungarian Authorities.
I was lucky, or I should say clever enough to choose LDC when I started to learn to be a driving instructor. The fantastic LD system helped me through my journey to be able to pass my qualification tests for the first time. As an LDC instructor I have learned the latest coaching and training techniques which helps me suit the lessons to the individual's needs, so that you can learn to drive safely, at a pace that suits you. My lessons are always conducted in a calm, friendly and relaxed manner, and with my great sense of humour I firmly believe that making pupils feel at ease during lessons is half of the success.
